He was made of knitted triangles stitched together over an authentic red deer stag's head. I especially enjoyed the bullfinch perched on his antlers!
And then there was the knitted haggis and her offspring outside the cafe, collecting for a local charity ...

Such fun indeed ... though when I told a friend (male) about it, a look of blind incomprehension crossed his face ... definitely a (female?) textile joke, I think!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was teaching reading to those children who found it hard, we used a Scottish based reading scheme which has left me ever more fond of a good haggis!
