Around this time in a larger piece - about half way in - I seem to hit self-doubt and have to get my head down and keep working without questioning or thinking too much.
It helps to keep reminding myself of the original thought I had and of the various elements being included ... and also to remember that this always happens.
... Right ... head down and back to the loom!

Self doubt goes hand in hand with any kind of creativity. I have always thought that the day I am 100% happy with something I have created then that will be the day to stop.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. We're an insecure bunch! But sometimes I feel I think too much and that it's best left till the end when I can review with a clearer head.
DeleteWhat I see is beautiful and such great advice ... Head down and back to the loom, or as in my case what is on my work table!
ReplyDeleteHead has been successfully down since I wrote this post and I'm on the home straight now. Thank goodness the strategy does work! Back to the loom this evening. I might even be finished by the end of the week ...
