Working with mixed media stitched textiles gives me great pleasure.
As well as the joy in the art of making and exploring, there are the friendships formed as work grows.

Scotland in the sunshine
We're in Scotland again ... with intermittent internet access that requires us to visit the local library or coffee shops to get online and I'm limited to a maximum of one visit a day. The latter is not a problem except for the waistline!
This photo was taken from a favourite viewpoint on the Cairn O'Mount, looking south to the coast.
Today was beautiful - warm and sunny - and we spent the day relaxing on a local beach - more photos to follow.
We are off home tomorrow when regular posting should resume! This time it has been almost impossible with our local library experiencing IT problems and available time limited by most enjoyable twinning events and French visitors. It's all been great fun but textile time has not featured much.
Thank you ... any photo of Scotland is welcome to see. I have a friend who just visited Edinburgh and I am so envious ! My mother's side of the family came from Scotland & The Orkneys and I love staring into photos and imagining their life there ;) Back then, I'm sure it was very tough, but I imagine anyway ;) I'll be doing her portrait soon.
We have had fun and the countryside has been looking lovely but posts have been tricky. We will be up again with all our family at the end of August and I hope the local library will have improved its system! I will try to post then.
Wow! Such a clear day...perfect July view!
