Working with mixed media stitched textiles gives me great pleasure.
As well as the joy in the art of making and exploring, there are the friendships formed as work grows.

Contour Mosaic
More playing with contours, holes and thoughts of waterwheels and lines in the landscape, this time cut up to give small squares ...
I like it too - so now my problem is how to add stitch and what to stitch into? ... fabric won't work in the same way at all - so will it be paper, or fabric and paper combined? I fancy the latter ... More trying out needed to see.
Loving all this different marks!
ReplyDeleteIt's all great fun - I'm really enjoying myself!
DeleteLovely movement. I'm really liking the combination of drawn line and holes in this and the previous post.

ReplyDeleteYou are so right - something about things being more than the sum of their parts ...
