One mark a day certainly isn't too onerous. The fact that I'm still going after almost a month shows how practical it is. At the start I set myself some 'rules' to prevent me from bumbling around at random. I've limited the media to be investigated and then tried to focus on exploring one kind mark each time I use it. It really makes me focus and I've already found some I want to develop further. In fact, I might have to try this too - making "a mark" every day doesn't seem too onerous, it could take mere moments ... or it could lead to who-knows-what...Margaret Cooterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08529035740804527176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-60369239052193851772015-04-18T11:45:29.743+01:002015-04-18T11:45:29.743+01:00Very many thanks, Marja-leena. These seem to work especially well and to make a clearer, cleaner mark than the candle. I've also been trying out other possible resists in the last few days. Perhaps I will post when I've finished experimenting.Charlton Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052815242463837033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-39267582208661482352015-04-18T01:11:12.857+01:002015-04-18T01:11:12.857+01:00As the others said, lovely results from your explo...As the others said, lovely results from your explorations! I plan to photograph the ones I've found to be especially successful and then work on them. the first above will be one I think.
Thank you also for the comment about Henry Moore and his use of resist. It started as a project for a month but I've a feeling it may continue beyond that time span.Charlton Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052815242463837033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-22184139284056539192015-04-15T23:25:23.032+01:002015-04-15T23:25:23.032+01:00Wonderful marks....what a great practice! What is wonderful about current technology is that now we can also go on to scan such marks to make further work without necessarily having to remember how the mark was made, with what, and still have the tools and materials etc.
I like the marks you have made. The candle resist always reminds me of the beautiful drawings Henry Moore made with resist.Olga Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10554469124546960971noreply@blogger.com
