I feel that I've found something very profitable in all this exploration, both in my weaving an in my work directly with my own black and white photos. This latter work I have yet to show much of here as it is still developing but I plan to put it into our group exhibition in November and will show it then in detail.Charlton Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052815242463837033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-66685088525305595002016-07-23T17:13:02.172+01:002016-07-23T17:13:02.172+01:00Absolutely you !
Watching/reading your posts this...Absolutely you !
Watching/reading your posts this past year, with your architectural photos and drawings in basic black & white now coming together in a fibre piece, has been very interesting to watch ... and being back to weaving has got to be so very satisfying for you.
Excellent !Threadpainterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575214840766105122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-70198978984597527402016-07-07T22:36:10.576+01:002016-07-07T22:36:10.576+01:00Many thanks, Debbie. The next piece in the series will be even simpler. I work at least a bit...Thank you very much, Marny.
I work at least a bit every day if I can, though that isn't always possible, and I usually have two or three things on the go at any one time - stitching, drawing, manipulating photos, working in my sketch books, and sometimes weaving. I find the variety helps a lot and one thing feeds into another. To tell the truth, if I'm not actually working, I'm thinking about what I might do next or where things might go.
I think I've been waiting most of my life for the time and space to do this and count myself very lucky that I can now enjoy it all ... and all without the pressure of having to earn a living doing it.Charlton Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052815242463837033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995249205815458488.post-14024274964303661422016-07-06T14:17:17.014+01:002016-07-06T14:17:17.014+01:00Oh my goodness...I've missed a couple of your ...Oh my goodness...I've missed a couple of your most recent postings and have just caught up!!
